Eat. Pray. Love. My three favourite things to do...
My heart was broken, my esteem shattered. And so began my journey to Mecca to heal my wounded self and find God. After a week of solid prayer, I came back to Malaysia and my normal life - back to square one. But along the way, I stopped at this bookstore and immediately without thinking I picked up this book and bought it. A wonderful read - I felt so connected with Elizabeth especially when she spoke about her "spiritual memoirs." My favourite line in the book: "Faith is belief in what you cannot see or prove or touch." It also gave me a new perspective; "soulmates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then they leave." Don't worry, its not preachy at all. Quite a light read with plenty of points to ponder - can a woman search for everything? If you eat, pray and love...you might just get there. I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs something deeper and funnier than chicken soup for the soul.
